  • Administrator Data Finance Support job vacancy in Banbury

Are you an accurate and organised Administrator who enjoys working with spreadsheets, numbers and detailed information?

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration skills, good attention to detail and confidence using Excel. You do not need to be an experienced finance professional, as full training will be provided, but you will need to be comfortable entering, checking and managing data accurately.

This is not a traditional accounts role. The focus is on data entry, payroll preparation, invoicing support, client account administration and making sure information is correct before it is processed.

The Administrator Role:

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help manage client, contract, timesheet, payroll and invoicing information. Much of the role involves checking details carefully, updating spreadsheets, following set processes and ensuring deadlines are met.

Over time, you will receive training in the company’s systems, payroll processes, invoicing procedures and more advanced Excel tasks, including VLOOKUPs.

Administrator - Data / Finance Support - Key Responsibilities:

  • Entering, checking and updating data accurately
  • Working with Excel spreadsheets, including formatting and basic formulas
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly payroll information
  • Receiving and checking timesheets and expenses
  • Checking contract details, rates, terms and client information
  • Supporting the invoicing process, including preparing data for Xero
  • Setting up payment information for approval
  • Updating bank details and maintaining accurate records
  • Liaising with clients or colleagues to clarify missing information
  • Following processes carefully to support accuracy and deadlines

Administrator Skills and Experience:

  • Previous office administration experience
  • Strong attention to detail and an accurate working style
  • Confidence using Excel for data entry, formatting and basic formulas
  • Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets and detailed information
  • Good general IT skills and the ability to learn new systems
  • Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Good communication skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Experience in finance, payroll, invoicing or Xero would be helpful, but is not essential. Strong data accuracy and a good working knowledge of Excel are more important.

This role may suit someone who has worked as an Administrator, Data Administrator, Office Administrator, Finance Administrator, Payroll Administrator, Accounts Administrator, Junior Finance Assistant or Operations Administrator.

Hours: Full-time preferred: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (flexible start time of 8:30am, 9:00am or 9:30am, with a 5:00pm finish - dependant on lunch break).  Part-time considered: A minimum of 4 full days per week, or 5 shorter days Monday to Friday, likely between 25 and 30 hours per week.

Administrator Benefits:

  • 25-days holiday, plus bank holidays (pro rata if part time)
  • Vitality Health benefits
  • Full training in systems, payroll and invoicing processes
  • Structured pay reviews
  • Supportive team environment

If you are an accurate, organised Administrator who enjoys working with data and Excel, this could be an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a busy and supportive office environment.
